Mark S. Medel, D.D.S.

Dr. Mark S. Medel has become quite accomplished in the profession of oral maxillofacial surgery delivering superior care to patients with a multitude of diverse surgical problems over the last 30 years.  He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. He completed a 1-year internship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, in Medical Technology and became board-certified through the American College of Clinical Pathologists. He next attended the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1983. Following graduation, he attended the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut, where he completed a 3-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 1986, he became board-certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as completing his Michigan Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery the same year. From 1986-2000, he practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery in Clinton Township, Michigan, and concomitantly since 1988 has practiced full-time in Owosso, Michigan. Recently, Dr. Mark Medel has partnered with his son Dr. Nicholas Medel to proudly serve Henderson, Anderson and Navarro county.  

Dr. Mark Medel has devoted his professional career to all aspects of dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has served as President of the Genessee District Dental Society. He served recently as a board member for the Genessee District Dental Society, and also served on the MDA Committee on Peer Review/Dental Care.

Dr. Mark Medel married his high school sweetheart and they still enjoy boating and spending lots of time on the water with their recently growing family.
